The Rock: Day Ten

After a quick stop at the Manna European Bakery and Deli to pick up a couple of delicious lunch sandwiches….

…we headed up Marine Drive to see what we could see. We encountered interesting things at the Ocean Science Research Center, such as seals.

Then it was on to the East Coast Trail and a careful walk out to the point.

…while I admired the view.

Time for more whale watching! We spotted two small minke whales playing in the cove very close to shore.

What an incredible experience to have so close to a vibrant city!

Finally, we capped the day with a visit to Newfoundland’s only micro brewery and a late-night “Sinners and Spirits” ghost tour of the city. Fun!
