The Rock: Day One

The Rock: Day One

There’s no other way to say it, Newfoundland is a place of intense natural beauty.

Gros Morne National Park

Today we made our way to up to Shallow Bay in Gros Morne National Park. This will be our home for the next five days.

Once we arrived, we set up camp; I cut and split a bunch of firewood and Fletcher kept a close eye on the wood.

Alison grilled sausages and served them with a butternut squash and vegetable risotto. Decadent.

Alison prepares another gourmet camp dinner.

After dinner, we stumbled onto an educational talk about local bats. They served hot chocolate.

I can’t wait<em> to start exploring this incredible place tomorrow…
